Adobe Photoshop

How do you make brushes on Adobe photoshop 7.0? & when you download brushes and you try to get them on there and when you hit open and it opens as a picture and doesn't turn in to a brush how do i get it to turn into a brush? Thanks in advance

Okay. Basically this is what you do. When downloading brushes into photoshop, you have to have winzip because the brushes come in a zip folder. Once you have winzip, you right click on the zip folder containing the brush and you hit extract with winzip. Then something will open asking you where you would like to extract it to. You go through your C drive and hit program files, then adobe, go in and go to your brushes folder and hit that. Extract it to that. Do this with all of your brushes. Then when you're done, open adobe & hit paint brush, then there will be a little option to change your brushes. Hit that, and all your brushes should appear.
