Hi, I am doing some homework and I have to find the name of a mine from the 1800s and I need to find out the conditions and how unheyginic and stuff it was AND a diary entry from a mining worker,

any sites or info

Also, I found a book on Amazon called the "Coal Miner's Bride," which I think is a journal. So may go and check that out of the library or something.
All I could find over the internet for diary entries was diary entries of tourists who visited old coal mines, and that's about it.
