my best friend's birthday is on the 7th & i have no idea what to get her. she'll be seventeen. we've been friends for fourteen years. she loves music, movies, & books. her boyfriend's in the army. idk. i already know that i'm going to get a picture of us blown up & put it in a frame & give her an IOU for a book when it comes out...but what else can i do?
Better than getting a frame and a picture of you two blown up, why not buy one of those big album types of books with the little picture frames in the front, you know what I mean?
See how there's a picture in the middle of it? You could put a picture of you & her in the middle of it.
Now it's one of those types of books where there's just blank pages on the inside, no plastic holders for the pictures and everything and this is where it can look so pretty and touching.
Just dedicate ( depending on how many pages are in the book ) say, 5 pages to each year of your friendship and make titles like "First Year, Second Year" and so on and then just cut out pictures of you two hanging out together and if you have a memory, write it down on the page and maybe cut on a magazine clipping of whatever the memories about. ( Example: Say her favorite flower's a daisy and you bought one for her one day, maybe take a fake daisy, better yet a real one, and glue it inside so she has things to look at in there too ).
And just have fourteen years of memories in that book and leave lots of pages in the back empty, too. And maybe on the last page of the "Fourteenth Year" of memories write something like,"You're the best friend I've ever had, and these are just a few of the great times we've had together. I hope you have a wonderful birthday, and I can't wait to add more memories to these pages", and then maybe make the year "Fifteenth" starting page pictures of her 17th birthday and everything and glue confetti and everything on the page. :)
You get what I'm saying, lol?
I'm sorry if I don't make much sense, I tend to babble with really long answers after awhile. If you want to talk more about it, you can always send me another message in my inbox.
