Dizzyness

Question Posted Saturday October 28 2006, 4:51 am

I've noticed in this past month or so that I get dizzy frequently for no reason. I usually take Tylenol to help, but it doesn't necessarily feel like a headache. I am on Accutane and have been since July; however, my doctor just put me on 40mg a day about a month ago (I had been on 20 mg a day from July-October). Could this be what is making me dizzy?

Thank you=)

It could have something to do with the dosage. I would suggest calling the doctor and asking. If they say that it couldn't be what is causing it, you need to go back to the doctor. Good luck.

Accutane appears to have many side affects, most of them quite serious. I have included a couple of websites for you to check these. However, dizziness is not listed as one of them.
My advice would be to go back to your doctor and get yourself checked out. I take it the doctor knows you are using both medications? It could be something like anaenmia, vertigo etc. Only a doctor will be able to correctly diagnose you and give you the appropriate treatment.

Hope that helps and you are feeling better soon.
