In circumstances like this you should not feel bad about voicing your opinions, as it takes place in an open forum.
If you are sensitive to the opinions of others, particularly your peers, and if they do not agree with you, it is quite possible for you feel bad about stating your case and maybe offending them. We all like to feel that we belong, and if our behaviours, habits or thoughts are different from the crowd, it takes confidence to uphold them.
Be proud that you could do this and back up your opinion, it takes a strong character to do this.
Hope that helps and good luck. [ isis's advice column | Ask isis A Question ]

I have had this same problem in the past. If you are debating for a class or club, then debate all you want. You are doing what you're meant to do. Outside of that, however, it may be best to be less outspoken... Words are very powerful. [ Xineph's advice column | Ask Xineph A Question ]
