i've been in HIS position in this mess. so i know he how he feels. but i know how you feel too.
basically, if hes dating you but his heart is on another person then you guys need to end it, because its not going to go anywhere.
the point of dating is to experience dating throught your younger years so you eventually find someone you love enough to start a life with.

you need to talk with him and tell him how you feel. tell him that you dont like being with someone who is in love with someone else as well. tell you two need a break to think about things.

I think that the best way to break up with him is to be honest with him. Tell him your view on things and ask him how he feels about them. If you feel uncomfortable doing it in person, maybe you could try a phone call, or talk online. If your honest with him, he'll probably be honest with you too.
