ipod troubles
okay so i have a video ipod. and it was working fine until today. it was plugged in as normal, but all the sudden this box comes up that says my computer can't read the ipod and that i need to use ipod software updater and restore the ipod to factory settings. why did this happen? and now my computer won't recognize my ipod so i can't even fix it! please help me!!!

Video iPods have a major software bug; a ton of them are getting recalled. I'd try calling Apple and seeing that you can do about it.
In the meantime, restore the iPod to factory settings and see if that fixes your problem.
Make sure all your files are backed up first, though. EVERYTHING will get erased.

Hmm. I have a video Ipod too and ive never gotten that before. I think my friend has though. If you have the itunes/ipod disk that it came with, try reinstalling that and then type in the little code on the back of your ipod that says its real. If that doesnt work, call apple and tell them about it and see what theyhave to say
