How can drinking make me gain more weight?

Thank you for your advice on my last question: but- how could drinking make me gain more weight?

Drinking dosen't usually make you gain weight all around, it usually will form a 'beer belly' first, though. It's mainly because of the MAJOR calories that are in the drink. Also, it's a very filling drink.

Just for future refference, too, here are some other things drinking causes if you drink too much..

*May stunt your growth if you're still growing
*Negative effects to the liver and brain/kills brain cells
*Causes heavy sweating
*Addiction (of course)
