Right now I write lyrics and that's about it. But someday I want to be able to at least perform in a talent show. The problem is, I can't play guitar and I'm not a very good singer. Are there any tips you can give me? Where can I find a good but cheap guitar? What's the easiest way to learn guitar? Is there any way I can teach myself to sing, since finding a vocal teacher is sort of out of the question... we live in a VERY rural area... and we're broke.

It's basically goes from there up. Don't buy one from a pawn shop though because you'll spend more money there on a crappy guitar than at a regular store on a nice one. There are sites on the internet that teach you certain vocal techniques. Just go to google and type in vocal lessons. You can try to teach yourself guitar from a book and if you're successful then great! But it is hard and a lot easier if you have a teacher. They don't have guitar class at your school?
