Why wont he ask me out??

Question Posted Sunday October 8 2006, 11:35 pm

ok soo.
me and this guy, Allen, have been i guess "talking" for about a week or so.
and we are ALWAYS together at school.
like, after every single class he waits on me.
and we always write each other notes and stuff.
and he comes up my house all the time and we go to the movies, or go eat or something.
he's told me he lkes me, and he knows i like him. and he calls me like everyday.
but he wont ask me out..... ?
it's killing me. lol

why wont he?

btw, hes a senior. im a freshman.
is that why?

you could ask him.
or you could just keep doing what you're doing because you're basically dating, there is just no label.
honestly the fact that youre a freshman definitely might have something to do with it. boys are stupid, especially in high school, and they're worried about their image.
you should just talk to him about it.

well you guys are already going on dates and stuff so basically you are his "almost girlfriend." you both know you love eachother so you don't need lable yourselves. i dont know why he hasnt officialy asked you out maybe hes shy or maybe hes going to do it soon. i say you should just be the one to ask him out. you could ask him out next time your at the movies. hope i helped

Some boys arent really always caught up on asking a girl out. By him always walking you from class, and going out to the movies... calling and everything, I think that says a lot already! Just go with the flow! Dont try to rush things with him.. you gotta give guys their time!

Maybe is hasn't occured to him that that's important to you, or he doesn't know which things you'd like.

Help him - like ask if he'd like to go out .. maybe to a specific movie or restaurant that you've heard of . Suggest things that are within his budget. Gently negotiate/clarify who's paying for what at the time the date is set - gracefully be willing to chip in for part of it if he's not comfortable offering to pick up the whole tab.
