Having a party on the 28th. Have to decorate my whole house and the basement. I'm so excited, but I need some ideas. Here's what I already have:
BASEMENT(main party area, have bar, pool table, etc.)
-Stringing up orange lights in main basement area to give it a "hellish" feel.
-Placing blacklights over dartboard (painted dartboard numbers/lines with flourescent paint)
-Cobwebs everywhere on everything with spiders
-Hanging grim reaper
-Hung bats of different sizes at different lengths from beams
-Blood drips and handprints on windows
-Purple or black? tablecloths with torn bloody fabric runners over top
-Mason jars of severed fingers, ears, eyeballs in green/red "preservation fluids" to sit around cauldron
-Cauldron for Punch
-Fog machine
-small Glow sticks for drinks
-Child size skeleton
-Small coffins for silverware
-Haunted Tavern Bar Sign for bar
-Halloween shot glasses, serving pieces
-I'll have jack-o-lanterns, of course
PORCH/STEPS
-Cobwebbed whole thing
-Strung purple lights all the way up
BATHROOM
-going to do the "Psycho" thing, slash up clear curtain, sling blood all over it, tub, shower walls...hang towel that says "Bates Motel" on rack
-Cling face thing for Mirror
-write REDRUM on shower wall so it can be seen from mirror
*In the upstairs windows I cut out shapes for scenes out of black construction paper and taped them in the window. They look great at night.
*Thats all I have and I need SO MUCH MORE! Don't have any ideas for kitchen or living room and I still think we need more for the basement since thats where everyone will be most of the time. CHeap things I can make would be the best, I really don't want to spend over $40 on one thing, but I appreciate ALL suggestions!!! Thanks!
