What is a good way to ask an older guy to homecoming?

Question Posted Friday October 6 2006, 11:05 pm

He's a junior, i'm a sophomore. Yeah, he's a nice guy...not anything like a jerk, alcohol, or smoker. We don't really talk to him that much, but we do talk and according to my friends he's shy.

I'm told to just go for it. I'm just too timid to do a direct approach. Going together as friends is what I've wanted to do. Even if i have a small crush on him.

It's not like i have no other plan, i've got a reservation with friends too.

forget about your friends for a second. you need to make a decision - either you want to go with HIM or you want to go with your FRIENDS. its your choice, not theirs. if you go with that guy you can still hang out with your friends no doubt about it. secondly, if you dont go with that guy you might regret it later. you need to conquer your fear at sometime so you might as well do it now. just walk over to him and smile and ask him if hes going to homecoming. if he says yes or maybe then ask if he wants to go with you. its not going to kill you trust me you will live.

you gotta go for it!
