I've wanted to get laser eye surgery since I first heard about it. I have pretty bad eyesight, but I didn't get contacts until I was a teenager. Every day I think about how amazing it was not to have to deal with contacts. I can look up information about the procedure and the risks and stuff myself, so what I'm looking for here is information from people that have been through it. What was it like? How much did it help? Tell me all about your experience (or the experience of someone close to you) and whether you think I'm making the right decision. Thanks already.
My aunt had the process, and it worked great...she was able to get rid of her contacts and glasses...the first few days are a little blurry...but after that...it is great...I would recommend it to anyone...that wants to get rid of the glasses... That is the age in which your eye is finished fully developing. However, you can still go ahead with the procedure, but there is a possiblity that you won't have as great as results as if you waited. Generally speaking, it's got a very high percentage success rate. As long as you don't have any additional eye complications (EX: a thinned out cornia) you are bound to achieve great results. You aren't put to sleep or anything like that. They do put numbing drops in your eye (just like eye drops) and they use their laser and such to do their business. There's this like not clamp, but thing that helps keep your eye open so you don't blink as much. Usually, you don't get both eyes done on the same day. It will make you sensitive to sunlight, possibly nautious. Afterwards, you just wear their eye sheild for a few hours and within days you see amazing results. :) [ FrEe2bMe's advice column | Ask FrEe2bMe A Question ]
