at home hair color

hello,i'm going to dye my hair for the first time at home....i am going darker and i was wondering what drustore brands of hair color work well and will not mess up my hair. any tips....???

Wal-mart has A TON of great brands. Don't get anything under the price of $4 because it's shit. DO NOT get color pulse, it turned my hair pink. Try not to get anything super red, it turned my hair nickelodeon orange. =]
you'll probably have luck with anything besides what i said.

I am tremendously satisfied with Clairol. I believe it was $3.99 or $4.99 at Walmart. They offer numerous shades to compliment a variety of skin tones. The dying process is quick and simple, with easy to understand directions. Also, Clairol offers a program on their website where you can upload your picture and switch your hair color, style and length. The programs works wonders, if you ask me. It's how I found my perfect dye. (=


You will have to go through a painless sign up process, but it is well worth it.
