In order to own a legal copy of this application, you must buy it from either an online store or retail outlet. It's priced at roughly $1500 AUD.
Downloading software from the internet using P2P programs such as Limewire is illegal and can result in an IP trace and arrests.
However, if you are looking for security updates to a certain version (such as Photoshop 7, CS, or CS2) you can go to www.adobe.com and click on support to find updates.
It is not possible to go from Photoshop 7 to CS, or CS to CS2 (this also applies to earlier versions of photoshop) without incurring a fee for the new version. [ dotdashandy's advice column | Ask dotdashandy A Question ]
