iPod Video, 30GB

I just got my iPod a few weeks ago and I can't find the instructions, but that's not my question.
When it's charging the battery, how do you know when it is? How do you know when it's done?

Any tips will be great too!

when it is charging it shows a battery and it says chargin on the screen also when it is done it says battery full on the screen

Well when it is chraging there is a little lightening bult in the battery thing. When its done im pretty sure its a picture of a plug.
