Irritation in my vag

Question Posted Sunday September 17 2006, 9:40 pm

I'm having some irritation in my vag and anus, like they are both REALLY itchy all of the time and sometimes after I wipe (when going to the bathroom) there is a little bit of blood. I don't think it's a yeast infection because I'm not seeing any yeast. If it helps I'm 13, have my period, and not sexually active. Thanks!

I know you said that you're not sexually active and even though pubic lice is considered an STD, it is possible that you can pick it from from other people's clothing if you borrow them, towels, bedding, toilets, etc. I would recommend mentioning this to a parent or a doctor and see what they think about it. After all, it's better to go through the embarassment and feel better afterwards than to suffer through the itching! And good luck.

You won't necessarily see yeast in a yeast infection. How long has this been going on? If it has been a week or so, I would definitely think it is something that needs to be checked out by a doctor.
If the blood is when you wipe, it is possible that you have hemorrhoids (and yes, this is possible at pretty much any age).
You could try tucks wipes. They have witch hazel, which is an antiseptic/astringent and can help with irritation. It will be more gentle than dry toilet paper, so even if you just have really sensitive skin it should help.
Again, you should probably check with a doctor just to be sure.

ok well its either a sign of you get your period....yes i know you already have your period....or you wipe a lil to hard with causes sensitive skin to peal a bit and let out some blood...or if you itch down there (which i recomend you dont) you its to much or to hard be aware that down there is the most sensitive part of your body....so i think when you go to the bathroom you should always wet the toilet paper with water not just a drop get it all wet and wipe yourself lightly and gentally it might stink at first but you will feel better later...if nothing else works and itstill hurts get a small bucket is fill it up (not all the way like 75% of it) with warm water not hot make sure u feel the water and then fill the rest of the bucket with vinager and then pour all of it over your vagina ...do that one a day and after a few days if it still hurts i reccomend you go to a doctor alright i really hope you feel better good luck
