Urinary Infection?

Question Posted Saturday September 16 2006, 4:36 pm

I heard somewhere that if you're very sexually active, it's common to get a urinary infection, brief explanation: one has to urinate a lot, and there is a painful sensation during and after urinating. Is there a name for this? How can it be treated?

yes,
you are very prone to urinary infection when you first start getting sexually active....so i assume that if you are VERY sexual sctive you are very prone also.

urinary infection symptons are the same as you describe.

i found that a small pill called AZO works well for this infection although if changes the color of your urine. ( So go to Wal*mart and but some cheap undies before taking it)

HOPE I HELPED :)

Sex can introduce bacteria to the genital area. Girls are more at risk for UTIs because of the friction can push the bacteria into the urethra.

To prevent UTIs, be sure to urinate before and after sex. It is also helpful to take cranberry supplements which are available over the counter at any drugstore.

If you tbink you have a UTI it's important to see your doctor for antibiotics; left untreated a urinary tract infection can lead to a more serious kidney infection and other complications.

Here is some info on urinary tract infections.

Most of the time you need to see a doctor and take some antibiotics. There are many causes for a UTI so
no need to worry that your mom or the doctor will
assume you are sexually active if you happen to be a teen.

Don't suffer. tell someone and see a doctor. :)
