HighSchool

Question Posted Saturday September 9 2006, 11:17 pm

I am in 10th grade, and last year i switched into Private school for High school...i'd gone to public school my whole life. It's an all girls private school...which, i know, sucks...but its a reallllly good school. I still see all of my friends from my old school...just not during the week. In fact i hang out with them, more than the people from my school. The thing is that recently, when i am hanging out with my [public school] friends, or at the football games i have been reallly regretting leaving. I love my private school and it is a really good school, but i cant help but wish that i was back in public schools with all of my friends...i can be really hyper and really fun with all of my public school friends and i am pretty quiet in my private school...b/c i dont really know them as well.

WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?

I think you should stick to your school. Getting to go to a private school is a really great oppurtunity that many kids don't have, so you should by all means stick to your school.

I've never changed schools, but some of my friends have, and from what I can tell, it's really difficult to make the transition. But I think you should put a lot of effort into making new friends at your school. Try to be friendly. You can start small, like by complimenting a girl on her hair or asking a classmate how her weekend was. Some girls might be mean, but if you just keep trying to find a friend, you'll eventually discover someone really cool. If you go back to public school, you may miss out on the chance to make really good new friends :)

Good luck, and I hope I helped!

hey i'm in 10th grade too adn i switched school this year too. i regret changing schools and i wished i was back. but i still get to see my friends. but it still fell sweird like i'm being left out of stuff. and at my new school i am quite and don't really know people to well so its hard. but if i never went to the school i'm going to now i wouldn't of met some of the people now. but a lot of the people at that school are wishing i was back and i just keep lying and saying i like it. my dad wants me to go back but my mom doesn't. i am just going to stick with it right now and see how it turns up. thats all you can really do. and i'm also afraid to switch back becasue i have already been in school for two months and i don't want to be asked a lot of questions about why i'm switching back and stuff. so i think someone else should answer this one casue there are people that need to know what to do.
