cockatiel questions
hi, well i have a cockatiel and need to know some stuff about it:
1.whats the sex of my cockatiel? its gray with a pale yellow face. just the face, the back of the head isnt yellow. the crest is grey and yellow. the tail is in bad condition, and some feathers have white dots on them, just like inside the wings. a couple tail feathers are pure black.
2. what does the term "hen plucking" mean? when i got it the man said it had hen plucked(or something like that, i cant remember)is it anything to do with pluckin feathers, because some of the feathers look like they have been bitten.
3. why does my cockatiel shake its head sometime?

And I couldn't tell you why it shakes it's head. Maybe he's trying to ruffle it's feathers. I remember when I had a bird he used to shake his head alot... Nothing was ever wrong with him so I'm sure it's a normal thing for birds, or cocatiels to do.
Maybe you should take the bird to a vet and he/she could sex your bird for you because they would know much better than I could.
