Does anyone know any kind of home remedies or creams or anything for a cold sore?

I only use two products on my lips for when i have cold sores and they both are GREAT. Overnight i put on a very thick layer of Vaseline and during the day i use blistex. Usually it will clear up in 1-2 days.

Now, if you are looking for something that's very effective there is a gel/medicine called Abreeva. It is available at all local grocery stores and drug stores. It is costly though--on average about 15-18 dollars for a tube.
