hey im on birth control, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, and ive been getting some spotting..but its sort of close to my period like a week away and im almost done with the pills i know spotting is normal but could this just be the beginning of my period?

It could be. I'm on the same pill. The pill makes your periods regular so you get them at the same time every month. Your periods might have started at different times when you weren't on the pill, but the pill changes your body and slows down hormones. If it's not your period it's probaly break through bleeding. Totally gross, I know. Break through bleeding is bleeding when it's not your time of the month. And your right, the first wk of using the pill, it usually does this. Just make sure you take them at the same time every night. If you don't that can cause break through bleeding too. So gross, I know.
