Is it possible to put songs from my ipod onto my computer? Recently my computer got many viruses and Windows (XP) has to be reinstalled so I lost almost all of the music on my computer. Now on iTunes it says names of songs, with an exclamation point beside it, meaning that iTunes cannot find the songs on my computer. Do I have any other options?
i looked for this program forever when my computer crashed its the best, you have to pay for all the other programs so ya its the best haha hope i helped!!

Hoook up your iPod (ignore messages from iTunes for now) and open My Computer. Go to Tools->Folder options->View. Then click "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and click OK.
Your iPod should then show up on the screen slightly blurred out (the icon).
Opem the "Music" folder, and copy the folder(s) that show up to your desktop or somewhere you'll remember (AND KEEP THEM IN A FOLDER!! otherwise you're in for a six-hour chore!)
Then, open iTunes and go to Add Folder to Library. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the place you go. It's on the top left, I'm pretty sure it's file. Haha, anyways.
Add the folders you just copied from your iPod to your iTunes library, and all your songs should be there. =) [ LM's advice column | Ask LM A Question ]
