I dance (jazz, ballet, moder, hip-hop) and whenever i do pleas (bending my knees) they get realllllly sore pretty quickly. also, my knees are hyperextended...what should i do...do you know what this is???

KELLY_ELIZABETH answered Monday August 28 2006, 4:47 pm: i suggest that since you use your knees so much, that you build up the muscles around them. i recently got surgery on one of my knees and thats all i do in physical tehrapy. just work on bulding up my quar muscle. i think you should also get it checked out by a doctor just to make sure its not a serious injury or problem. they may suggest taking some physical tehrapy, and if they do then i highly suggest doing it.
Volleyball2150 answered Monday August 28 2006, 4:01 pm: it could be growing pains, or theres something wrong with your knees. I really dont know what to tell you other than go get it checked out at your doctors office. Try massaging your knees with lotion and try not to bend your knees too much. My best opinion is get it checked out, there could be something wrong!
