Nallie answered Saturday August 26 2006, 2:04 pm: Like the previous advice giver said..NO-DOZ is caffiene. If I remember correctly 1/2 of a tablet of No-Doz has the same amount of caffiene as a cup of coffee. When I was 19 and on a long car trip. I took No-Doz, I probably took more than the recommended dose and I remember that it made my heart beat really fast--but I was so very tired and I fell asleep anyway, thank goodness there was another driver! I wouldn't recommend it and will give you a link with the side effects. It's much better to eat right, exercise and sleep right so you wouldn't need to take a "stay awake pill" For those that have an undiagnosed heart condition, they could be headed for serious trouble by taking such a concentrated amount of caffiene. I would recommend natural ways to stay awake like peppermint, lemon spice, and ginsing. This is much healthier and more likely to give you an energy boost without damaging your body or mind.
