hey I just started my period this month and I told my mom and everything but I am to embarrased to ask her when I can start using a tampon to go swimming so is it to soon to start useing tampons on your 2nd period?

But, if you're embarassed, like that other girl said, whenever your moms shopping tell her you'll be right back and just go grab a box and stick them in the cart. I don't think it's too early to start, but [ I don't know if you're talking about swimming lessons for gym, or for swim team or what ] whenever I would have swimming lessons for gym, I'd jsut write a note to the teacher telling her I'm on it and I couldn't swim for a week, and she didn't mark me off. babiigirl answered Friday August 18 2006, 3:47 pm: Usually Girls wait atleast 6months before they start using tampons. If absolutely need to use a tampon then just ask your mom. Just tell her that you would like to use them to go swimming. Or you can do what i did and while you and your mom are in the store walk away from her and grab a box of tampons and stick them in the cart and when she goes to pay tell her you need them for swimming.
