wisdom teeth Hi, I was wondering if it hurt when you got your wisdom teeth taken out, like afterward when you woke up? Any info. from the surgery or w.e would be great, thanks.

it really depends on how bad your teeth are growing in. three of mine were impacted, growing into my jaw joints on both sides. so they had to break the teeth to get them out and also go in through the sides. I had extra-big wounds that bled for about an hour afterwards. but it was more uncomfortable than painful. if you're luckier than I was you you'll still have the novacaine and anaesthesia wearing off for the first few hours and you'll sleep through it. I was awake enough to taste the blood in my mouth and the soaked bits of gauze. again, not painful, but extremely uncomfortable. try to be as personable as possible to the staff. the more at-ease you seem the better off they'll treat you. and you can all be calm together. also, make sure you ask for a water syringe before surgery to clean out your wounds. it's a lot less uncomfortable to shoot water into them than it is to swish out your mouth with salt water (which you'll have to do for a period anyway so as not to dislodge stitches). and try not to eat meat or animal products for three or four weeks after you get your teeth pulled. it's more likely to cause infection and it doesn't taste fantastic in shake-form which is how you can expect to be eating.
one final word: pudding.
edit: even if you're told that you may not need them out now, you probably will need them out eventually. this is especially for females. I was told at 12 that I was fine with mine, but ended up getting them out 4 years later after suffering through them coming in and forcing my jaw to lock. I ended up having to have my jaw realigned during my wisdom teeth surgery. I'm all about having them removed. ]
