If winnie the pooh was civilized enough to keep his honey in jars, why did he eat it off his hands?

If you look you will see he has no thumbs so he cannot grip a spoon.

Hey, Im civilized enough to have all my food in containers, yet I use my hands every chance I get. Clearly Winnie realised that jars preserved the honey better, while at the same time he did not lose that wonderful instinct that some of use still retain... the instinct to eat like pigs :)

IF your smart enough to know this, why are you watching winnie the pooh?

Why would Gilligan never get off the island?
-Logically, cause then the show would end. So why does winnie the pooh eat with his hands? Entertainment, or it's the writers choice. It would be more playful and thus appeal to more children.
