For starters, if someone hires you in a market, they would never hire you to be incharge of money and stuff, because you have to be exerienced in that and you have to have gone to college to know these stuff.
Second of all, you could go to whatever place or market you want, and speak with the manager of the place, and tell him that you are looking for a part time job and if there is anything available in the market that you could give a hand with, you would be pleased to do so.
And you could also ask in pharmacies or animal shelters( if you like animals).
Other than that, usually 16 year olds work as waiters, and they serve food and stuff. So you could also ask in small fast food restaurants.
These are all the suggestions that I've got, but if nothing works out, be free to contact me again, and i will have thought of other suggestions.
Have a nice day:) [ Lola's advice column | Ask Lola A Question ]

shaws
alberstons
winndixie
publix
mcdonalds
burgerking
subway
cvs/pharmacy
&& some stores in the mall
Some of these store you probly never heard of. Pretty much any grocery store && fast food hire at 16. & cvs will hire you at 16.
When you apply at a place the application will ask you what you want to be doing. If the call you for an interview they usually have a position for you. Most likely if you start at a grocery store you will be a bagger But thats so boring & you may think you want to do it but youll get tired of it. If you apply at fast food you may be working different positions everyday. im not sure tho. If you apply at cvs or any drug store. You will a cashier plus everything else as in cleaning the store && so on.
Being a cashier is not hard what so ever. If you can work a computer you can work a cash register. Its that simple. && with the whole money thing. If you can count change your fine. You don't actually deal with moneyy. you never count draws that the managers jobb.
Different jobs pay you different amounts. I know at fast food you start out getting mininmum wage. Which in maine is 625 or 650. Grocery stores pay a little higher. I work at cvs && i get paid 7 dollars a hour. So honestly it differs from the type of job && the place.
