definition of love

Question Posted Sunday August 13 2006, 9:02 am

Has anyone ever come an absoulte love, such as the one described in the following passage? Is it possible, do you think, to come accross such a love, and have any of you experienced it? If so, please share.

Love is long suffering,
love is kind,
it is not jealous,
love does not boast,
it is not inflated.

It is not discourteous,
it is not selfish,
it is not irritable,
it does not enumerate the evil.
It does not rejoice over the wrong, but rejoices in the truth

It covers all things,
it has faith for all things,
it hopes in all things,
it endures in all things.

(Extract from Corinthians).

Hmmm... I would say yes I have. It is kind of like unconditional love, like you would have for a parent or child (especially for your children). Or if you find the right person to marry someday, it would be that kind of love that you would want to feel for your spouse. That is a good passage.
