need to know asap

i need to know if it is ok for an 17 year old and an 23 year old to date my cusion is seeing this guy and no body wants to get in troublb so will somebody tell me something please!!!

Well legally, it depends on where you live. If they are having sex, it could be considered statutory rape in some states.

Well obviously the age difference is going to matter to some people. Depending on the state you live in, there are age restrictions where you can get in trouble for that. Some states consider 17 an adult and some 18. It just depends. If you cousin sleeps with the guy there is a likelyhood of the guy being charged for rape with a minor. If you search the net for info on your state, you'll find out. Generally, it's okay for there be to an age difference just so long as the older person has the right intentions. You have to wonder, why would someone that much older not want someone his own age? It could be so simple as maturity wise he connects better--or it could be he has not-so-innocent intentions. Just tell your cousin to be careful. And remember, you should never have to hide or lie about a relationship. :)
