Winnebagos I see that you know a lot about cars so I'm hoping you will be able to help me.
My husband and I are thinking of going to the USA and travelling around for a few months when he retires. Not knowing too much about things over there, I was wondering, as we wanted to use something like a winnebago for this, whether it would be better to buy, (how much roughly) or to hire, (from where)? Or is there a similar vehicle that may be better? We would want to start at one of the country and work our way to the other.
Also, are there any sights, other than the obvious, that we should take a look at? I do want to go to Sedonna, Grand Canyon etc.
Thanks

that website is a site setup by many of the motorhome makers in the united states encouraging people to go and explore the country from behind the wheel of a house on wheels. now they might help point you in the direction of an RV rental place better than i can but if not go here:

they have a listing of all the dealers in the US that rent their RV's. and if that doesn't help well then i dunno what to tell ya haha.
and as for sites. well check out the historical stuff as well. especially if you're starting on the east coast. i mean you have new york city, boston, washington DC, and all sorts of other places where you can relive the colonists and the british fighting it out. if that's not your thing. check out the baseball stadiums across the country, or the national parks from glacier national park, to big bend, and yellowstone. heck even stop by san antionio texas and see the alamo where 100 texans battled over 10,000 mexicans in the 1840's. or san jacinto texas and see where the texan army took the mexicans by surprise and won the territory from mexico and from spain. there's a lot more to see than i can write about but the only way to see it is to just go for it. good luck. ]
