If that's the case I can almost bet ya' that you messed up the master or slave cylinder. The slave cylinder will cost about $100.00 for the part and $300 in labor and if it's the master cylinder, the past will run ya' about $75.00 and $100.00 for the labor. This is what happens when you rev the engine and burn out. If it's a newer car like a 2004/2006 then you'll have to get both parts fixed on it because that's the only way it comes, and you have to get it through your car maufacturer. orphans answered Saturday August 12 2006, 2:10 pm: prolly just popped the clutch out too fast and that's not a major problem, as the car will still go into gear. the problem would be if it wouldn't go into gear at all. when you did this did you notice an odd smell or smoke? or did you notice the car wouldn't go at all? did you hear a grinding noise? or was it all just a smooth shift at a high RPM?you can't get over ten miles an hour at all? or will it get over that just not in first gear? there are several aspects to a manual transmission that can cause problems if not done right, so if you could please respond back to this so i can help you properly. also what kind of car is it?
