No, it's so quick you won't even realize it's done. You'll feel a tiny bit of pressure, but that's it. They do use a needle. It takes about 4 months or so to completely heal. Hope I helped! :]

when i got my belly button pierced, it hurts for like a milisecond when the needle goes through. it's doesnt really get sore unless it gets infected, or unless someone hits it like my brother did when i first got it[and i wanted to choke him]. after the first week, it won't hurt anymore, even if someone does hit it. they pierce it with a needle. it's a hollow needle, so the ring is in one end and they clamp the skin, put the needle through, pull the needle through, then the ring is left in there, and then they screw the ball in. let me tell you, it's not at all scary as some people make it seem. i got it done and all the "pain" and such is just hype.

mine costed $45, and then $10 for the purified salt water spray. and believe me, you want the spray because it keeps it clean and it keeps out infection. oh--and you can't go in chlorinated water(pools, hottubs, etc.) for a month.

hope i helped!!

first the clamp it to get the placement; then they stick the needle threw. its sore for about a week. it doesnt hurt real bad but once it goes threw the second side it hurts alittle worse. its not all that bad. you just have to make sure you clean it a lot and take care of it. it gets infected very easily so be careful. :]
