JBAR answered Tuesday August 8 2006, 7:26 pm: Ah, I do this all the time! :]
Down -
Take your bangs/or center part of hair and squeeze your fingers together, then push forward a little. Then get a clip/bobby pins and place them where your fingers are. Just keep your hair down..
Pony Tail -
Do the same steps as the above, (keep your hair down while doing it) & then once you've got the clip/bobby pins in your hair, put a ponytail holder in your hair, and just make a ponytail. It's actually a very, very, easy style & it looks cute! Some people also lightly spray some hairspray around the 'poof' to help it stay poofy all day long! :] [ JBAR's advice column | Ask JBAR A Question ]
xomegaroni answered Tuesday August 8 2006, 6:07 pm: most of it is the exact same way.
you juss need a few steps-
1. put your hair down & make sure
it's washed well & not too greasy.
if it hasn't been washed, you shouldn't
do this hair style.
2. take a strip of hair that you
would want to be poofy. most people
take most of the center or if you
have bangs, you might want to use
these.
3. now, this part is up to you.
you can either keep your hair down
& do it, or put it up & then do it.
4. take the piece of hair, leaving
some in the ponytail/bun if down.
this means that the hair you're using
should be in the ponytail! that's how
it stays that way. i haven't seen too
many people that done it with their
hair down.
5. take a strong hold hairspray or
gel. it's up to you what kind you
want to use. test it out.
6. use the spray/gel. don't use
too much, but juss enough so it
gives it that type of curve.
7. take a bobby pin [or clip]
& put it behind the raised hair
to hold it up if the spray/gel
doesn't work as well as you want.
also the spray/gel might not last
for however long you want it too.
8. fix your hair how you want to.
this hair style doesn't always
work for all people. juss test
it out. if you're doing a bun/
ponytail, you do the same thing.
i wouldn't suggest this hairstyle
when you're wearing it down.
