I have a major obsession about my body and exercise and food. At first, it was just like, not eating so many cookies at lunch or limiting how much soda I drank in a day. That was about a year ago. In like, April I think, about that time anyways, I found that I was not eating any junk food at lunch anymore and I was only eating ice cream on sundays, and i hardly drank soda. I also was running about 2 miles 3-5 days a week. So basically, I was in shape. Then when summer started I joined a club lacrosse team and did a lot of training, we ran at least 3 miles everyday and had practice 3 days a week (one was a muscle training day). My coach told us about all the bad things about soda. and how not to eat the dairy before a work out, that kind of stuff. Along with lacrosse, I joined my old swim team (practice every weeknight for an hour). And I also did a special start and turn session for about an hour every week day. I was getting a ton of exercise so I had to eat constantly, like in the car between practices and stuff. I really slimmed down, lost 10 pounds, and I haven't had my period since May. Now, I am extremely picky about how I eat. NO candy, soda, ice cream, pizza, chicken wings, at ALL. I also run 4 miles almost everyday, but I don't swim anymore and lacrosse is over. But I still find myself always thinking about how much I've eaten and how I'm going to burn it off. I mean, I enjoy working out, it's just I can't help but calculate in my head the number of calories I'm eating and using. I am very fit, but I'm not convinced that I"m healthy. My mind is all screwed up, and I just want to be able to enjoy other things in life besides my body. How can I fix my mental issues???

First of all, you should go on with the healthy eating thing, and don't eat any kind of junk food, or sugar or fats. And you can consult a doctor to make you a healthy food plan to go on, because it won't make you worry anymore about what to eat healhty and what not to eat.
Second of all, appearances are the last thing that a person should think about , because it is more important for a person to have a good personality than to just have good looks.
And i am sure that you have such an amazing personality, so use it more and take care of it more and obssess about it more than you do about your appearance. you are a great person ,so don't ruin that by having mental issues and obssessing about something that people don't even care to look at. I mean... there are fat not good looking people who get married and have more admirers than the good looking hot ones, and you know why, because they take good care of their personality, and its so much better than how they look. And everyone of us, is beautiful from inside of him/her. So just try to occupy your time with something else where you can put all your concentration in and work on.

Also, your obsession with food is screwing up your menstrual cycle. I believe it is stress, and that is terrible for a young person to be so stressed.
I think you should probably exercise a little more and talk to a nutrionist to help you with your dietary concerns and hopefully that should put you on the right track. Exercise is good...but too much of a good thing is never good.
