You don't need $$ to show some one that you love them. Just tell him that you love him frequently, and hug him whenever you see that he is feeling sad or lonely. If you really want to buy him something, you don't need $200. Earn maybe $10, maybe by babysitting or by finding random $$ under the couch, then go buy him a card at hallmark or something that doesn't cost alot that means alot.

Well if I were your mother, I would get over this argument. Because her son is eventually going to pack up and leave when he can.
Right? And after her son could have died, life is WAY too short to be angry. Remind them both that before something fatal happens. Tell your brother you love him, and that if in any way you can help him somehow, for him to let you know.
Just being there for him is enough.
