The fan on my computer's power supply has stopped working. I'd rather not replace it because I bought it quite recently. Is there anything else i can do? I'm able to keep the computer from overheating at the moment (the case is off and a fan is blowing into it but this is hardly ideal). Any help would be appreciated.
Additional info, added Wednesday August 2 2006, 7:49 pm: I think I worded this badly. It was the power supply that I got recently, not the fan. If anyone's interested, I replaced the last power supply because it completely stopped working.. Want to answer more questions in the Technology category? Shooting some compressed air into the fan would loosen up any dust/dirt/etc. If cleaning the fan does nothing, then you either need to fix or replace the fan, or try other methods of cooling. I've seen some interesting pc projects on the internet that involve liquid cooling. If you're willing to put some time, effort, and creativity into the problem, you can create a cooling system that does not rely on fans. Replacing the fan would still be the easiest solution because fans are rather inexpensive. [ Orpheus's advice column | Ask Orpheus A Question ]

So you can go to a store and have them do that. Or you could do it yourself, but make sure you know how to put it back together! :D

Its Hard To Tell, Also What Happened To Your First Fan?? [ ThePositiveEmo's advice column | Ask ThePositiveEmo A Question ]
