Dear Genevieve,

My dog keeps on jumping up on people and my guests are getting really tired of it! What should I do? I am afraid he is going to knock over my grandma!!!!!

Hello,

This is quite a problem. The best solution to this would be to greet your dog on the ground, kneeling at his position, because when dogs jump up they are just trying to lick your face. Also, for cases like your grandma, when he jumps up, just camly grab his paws and hold him straight up. This will cause him only slight discomfort. You don't have to discipline him, just camly stand and when you see him starting to wriggle, let go. Greeting your dog on the ground is the best solution, or you can be sitting on a chair and pet the dog!

Good Luck and Keep on being a great pet owner!
