VeLcRoxHeArTs answered Sunday July 30 2006, 6:14 pm: they should be a light pink. i have problems with my gums because their a draker shade of pink and puffy. my orthodontist told me the solution to puffy gums is to squeeze them. bleeding is good to get the extra blood stored in ure gums out. if their dark pink or red, brush them a lot with a soft brush in a rotating motion. also, if it bleeds while you brush, you may have sensitive gums. that gives another reason to use a soft brush. ask these questions to your dentist or orthodontist for better information. hope i helped love. =]

* Are light pink in color (darker for people with darker complexions)
* Are stippled, much like the surface of an orange
* Are not tender or swollen
* Don't bleed when brushing or flossing
here are some websites that might help (where i got the info from too)
