Hi, I read that you're Muslim and so am I so that's why I'm asking you this and I hope you can help me.
Okay well my mom is always talking about how I need to find more Muslim friends and stop talking to my Christian friends because they're *not like us*. But see, the people I hang out with don't drink or party or sleep around or anything like that. They're really good people and that's why I'm friends with them. But my mom doesn't see it like that; she just sees that they are Christian.
And even today before the Friday prayer the shekh (sp?) was talking about how Muslims should not only show love and mercifulness towards other Muslims but to other people as well. And he told stories about the prophet Muhammad (SWT) saw a funeral for a Jewish man that he didn't know but he still got up and joined the funeral and prayed for him.
So I told my mom that and she was still like *yeah but I know how Christian girls act* but it isn't like that! Any help?

you know,im a muslim girl and some of my best friends are christian and theyre really great people,i see nothing wrong with being freinds with christians as long as they dont do bad things such as messing around with the opposite gender and drinking,drugs and stuff like that.Your moms only worried about you and thinks they might make you lose your faith in Allah and become a bad muslim.If you want to remain good freinds with them make sure you dont lose your faith and promise your mom that they will never drag you into doing anything wrong.God created the 3 main religions...islam,judism and christianity and its really sinful to make fun of other religions....you know there was astory abouut prophet mohamed (ppbuh) when he used to pray the jews back then used to throw trash on him while he prayed and he would od nothing about it so one day one of the men that used to throw trash on him didnt show up so prophet mohamed went and asked,"where is this man?" they told him where he lived.Prophet mohamed went to VISIT the jew in his house and said,"i heard you were sick,are you ok?The jew got up and said the shahada and turned muslim of how the prophet is so kind to him....So,if Prophet mohamed treats the other religions nicely why should we not?They didnt really do anything to make you fear them,tell your mom that.And if you ever need my advice or help my email and msn messenger is marilyn_monroe_4_arabs@hotmail.com...and for yahoo and yahoo messenger its french_chick2005@yahoo.com.........you need to promise your mom and give her your word that they wont drag you into anything bad and when she sees that your doing good with them,shell beilive you
