Question Posted Sunday July 23 2006, 11:33 pm

How do I tell my very very very best guy friend that I love him?

He has a girlfriend. But hes the only person who acts like they actually care and tells me he loves me and says Im amazing. Ive said "I love you." A lot, but.. how can I explain to him that its more than just I love you. How can I say he means more to me than the world?

Additional info, added Monday July 24 2006, 12:35 am:
Also, Dont tell me to just say "You mean more than the world to me." I need, something else. I need words. How do I express it? Also, I hardly ever see him in person so this will most likely have to be really lame on aim/texting.. because I kind of really hate using phones. So how can i make it seem as not lame as possible?.

-when he says i love you... look confused and say, well i love you too but you have a girlfriend.

-ask him who he thinks he might be goin out with if he wasnt with his gf (worked for me ;-))

You just need to ask him questions every now and then, not explicit ones like "DO YOU REALLY LOVE ME?" or "YOU ARE TOTALLY AMAZING"
be a bit sly and clever about it, you can get information about his feelings by asking neutral questions like, hows things with u and your gf?
Once you have enough info, say that you think hed be better off with someone better suited to him!

Or see if hes jelous when you tell him that u really like "this guy"... then you will know if he really does like you in that way

love is used in so many different contexts its hard to know what kind of love he means, until you find that out you can then make it so that he knows you feel the same way!

if you want any more help just email me or talk to me on msn

i know its long but i hope it helped xxx

As long as you make this meaningful, it won't be lame.. dont worry. But next time you say "i love you" , just say "and i mean it.. really".
He will really get the hint then, I promise! That will probably get you guys talking about the love subject and you can explain yourself.
From the way that it seems (even though he has a girlfriend), he likes you too. If he says I love you and stuff like that, hes most likely giving you hints that he really does like you!
hope this helps:)
