I lost my cell phone and I've tried calling my number but the phone was turned off. I have verizon. Is there a way to locate where my phone is somehow?

Retrace your steps EXACTLY- right down to the direction you were facing in a room, what you did in said room, who you talked to (they may remember a strange place you tucked your phone or something), where you EVER remember putting your phone down the day you lost it, and under furniture/in couch cushions/the crisper drawer (I'm totally serious; I found the TV remote there once)
If you still haven't located it, it's entirely possible somebody stole your phone, in which case you should call Verizon and ask them to suspend your account. It almost never fails- as soon as your number is temporarily deativated, your phone will miraculously show up. When you get your phone back (and you probably will, these things almost always turn up) your account can be re-activated.
*Just make sure that they enable you on the network too, otherwise you wont be able to text or make calls (which is EXACTLY what they did to me)*

(i have verizon too) I eventually found out that someone else was using it. so the easiest thing for me to do , you should do it to. it will cost a little money but just suspend the phone so no one can use it and get a new contract and phone within the time your phone is suspended. try to call your verizon provider and see what your options are too.
hottie411 answered Thursday July 20 2006, 9:35 am: no, but the if a person has it, then they might turn it on to see whos it is, so you can keep trying to call it just in case someone turns it on.
if no one has it, then you can keep looking for it, but if you just cant find it then you should call verizon and tell them to cancel your phone bill so that you dont hav to pay for it, and then you can just buy a new phone
Mollysie answered Thursday July 20 2006, 9:08 am: No there isn't. I lost my phone just recentally, actually somebody ended up stealing it and using up alot of my minutes. So it's important to tell your parents, because they will call verizon and shut the phone down temporarily and then if you find it in a month or two then they will turn it back on for you, but if you don't then it will be shut down permantly and you have to purchase a new phone I bieleve and reactvate it. So I really hope you find it! Make sure if you haven't told your parents tell them already, because I choose not to tell my parents and it had been a month and the phone bill was huge they were furious, but if I would have told them they could have shut it off and there wouldn't even be a phone bill! Thats kind of confusing but I hope you got my drift! Good Luck I really hope you find it! I love feedback good and bad!
Love,
