hair

Question Posted Wednesday July 19 2006, 1:04 pm

I have long hair and am trying to get it curly. The only problem is only about the bottom half of my hair will curl, because it is weighing the top down. I cannot get layers, because i am doing the locks of love thing...but are there any products or something i can use to help this?

you can actually donate completed wigs to locks of love in lieu of snippets of hair. if you went through a professional wig-maker locally you could have your wig made out of layered hair and then donated.

I know this really isnt answering your question that well but if you are doing locks of love, cut your hair shoulder length. Then get it layered. So you use condition? If not then use it.Use a curling iron.Pick a spot then curl and stay for about a couple of seconds.Hope its good.

Try a shampoo and conditioner specifically for curly hair. Also, use curling mousse, as it won't weight your hair down any more. Scrunch it through your hair. For even more curl, flip your head down (so your hair is hanging upside down) and apply product and scrunch it. When you flip your head back up (do this kinda slowly), it should be much curlier.

And kudos for doing Locks of Love.

Good luck!
