sporting advice for a non sports person

Hey howzitgoing?
having had a disasterous childhood and now in the sixth year of clinical dysthymia and the third year of psychodynamic psychotherapy im just starting to ask questions about self... To develope the self i need a sport to play that will keep me interested and exercised. Im not much of a sport type person but have good gross motor skills and more brain than brawn but can use the brawn when needed..

Well you don't want a sport where it's all up to you, like ice skating. You need a team sport like soccer or softball. it keeps you excercised and you get to meet new friends. I hope that works.

Start a martial art, that will keep you interested and support your intelligence, and it will keep you fit and build muscle in areas you need it. It can also be very competitive at times so that will keep you eager to keep going.
