presents?

Question Posted Tuesday July 11 2006, 9:14 pm

I am gathering a few friends for a birthday dinner next week at this five star restaurant...however, they're the kind of friends that "forget" to bring presents. But, I want presents! lol Am I wrong to expect them?..and Should I expect them? I don't want to expect them and not get any! :[ What should I do?

Hmm.. that's strange that you would think that they're the kind of friends to just "forget." That shows that your view of these "friends" isn't very high :-/. Maybe you should think about how genuine your friends really are. It's definitely not wrong to expect a simple present from a friend for your birthday! If you have been giving them gifts for their birthdays, then I totally understand that you think you deserve a gift in return. You can try giving them little hints like: "I've really been wanting _____ CD" or "My parents have been asking me what I want for my b-day".

hope this helps- :)
