Elcee answered Monday July 10 2006, 9:40 am: As long as you are following the instructions on the packet, and you are not taking antibiotics, then they should be working fine. (Antibiotics work against the effectiveness of the pill).
They are designed to give you regular periods of approximately three weeks period free and one week of period. It works in a 28 day cycle so there should be no reason not to trust it.
If you are at all concerned you are old enough to go and see a doctor yourself.
On a further note, should you decide to start having sex then it would be wise to use a condom in conjunction with the pill - this will protect against STDs etc. All the best. [ Elcee's advice column | Ask Elcee A Question ]
