Ok what you ask is not easy. Normal internet searches are really hard in relation to Romania. One of the reasons is that if you get any site that actually advertises in English, it is likely to be more expensive than what things actually cost IN Romania (since its tailored for foreigners).

I have made some searches in Romanian for you (I am formerly Romanian), and put a list of sites. You should note that prices in Romania vary greatly between the cheap and expensive locations (mainstream touristy places have prices very similar to the west, cheap out of the way places known by locals are often dirt cheap).

Oh btw the Rom currency is the leu or lei (plural). It has been recently revalued to the new leu (leu nou) by removing four zeros. Anyway, old currency is abbreviated ROL, new one RON.

(shoes and t-shirts in known brands: click "adidasi, vestimentatie, altele for product lists)

(this one has electronics, not what you asked for but since I found it I figured maybe it is of some use)

Anyway, I hope this is of some use to you. Unfortunately its been a while since I have been in Romania, so I cant confirm these things first hand.

If you have any questions you think I might be able to help you with feel free to drop a note in my inbox.

You might try specific searches.

Such as googling "the price of (insert item here) in Romania". Or you may find websites that are specific to Romania, say a Romanian website that details their prices on homemade and manufactured shirts. From there, the prices should be near the same.

Just look around, it is there, all you have to do is find it. And if you happen to find anything interesting, let me know because I am trying to travel to Romania for the summer after I graduate.

I hope I helped, and happy hunting.
