swimming

Question Posted Tuesday June 27 2006, 11:24 pm

15/f/120 pounds. Today I swam at a leisurely pace for about 500 feet. I used varying strokes, if it makes any difference. About how many calories did I burn?

uh well 500 feet isn't very far so probobly not very many especially if you were going at a leisurely pace. thats like less than 7 laps in a 25 yard pool. to burn sufficient calories you should swim at least a mile which is 66 laps.

Swimming is a great way to stay in shape! Better than almost any other activity. It's especially good for your endurance.

Good luck!
