Male Cats

Question Posted Wednesday June 21 2006, 2:28 am

My brother has this male cat Niko that he absolutely adores. The problem is that since he has gotten older he always hisses at me yet he still follows me around? Is there a way I can make peace with him?

Hissing isn't always a sign of anger or annoyance. If you think he is going to scratch you or try to bite you, then stay away from him, but, I've seen some cats that hiss when they're being pet.

Cat's are weird.

Perhaps your brother's cats likes you, and he shows it in a strange way. Try petting him and see what he does. Just don't try to crowd him or make him like you. That never works with a stubborn little cat.
